Because it can't be manipulated or used to your advantage. They have no communication and skill. But you should also know that it's all connected, you can't have a high win percentage by losing most of your games and vice versa. More information can be found here: Unless a wild smurf appears on the other team, I am either top fragging or close. I do understand some deranking, but this?

Thanks a lot man. He had 75 hours of gameplay and 12 other games. A player close to promotion would obviously have more Elo Points than one close to demotion, even though both have the same Skill Group Rank. Message the mods via the mailbox option next time and politely ask for your post to be reinstated. Those are the people who I won't try to help after the first attempt. Now i'm back on my 60hz screen and im sad because i miss flickshots more often than with the hz This continued to happen until like 3 weeks later now i'm silver 2.

Sure, one player can earn four kills in a round, but that may only be because of an ally securing the bomb-plant, or placing a well-timed flash. In response to this silence, some players have their own theories on how CS: Back in , Steam user RetriButioN posted a lengthy record of his experience ranking up multiple accounts.

He's since updated the guide, acknowledging that all claims are based purely off his own anecdotal evidence, but it makes for an interesting read regardless.

He proposes that ranking is determined on a round-by-round basis, adjusting all players involved to redetermine the expected winner. This method could explain why players sometimes rank up on a lost game, given a close scoreline. However, these cannot act as hard evidence for a round-by-round system, as external factors e.

These outside events are more likely to explain especially bizarre claims like deranking after a win. RetriButioN also goes on to claim that, aside from winning and losing the round, MVPs are the only factor to affect your ranking score. The logic behind this and the guide came from the use of console command, 'developer 1,' which revealed a ranking number that changed based on rounds and MVPs. However, Valve has dispelled this claim, confirming that files stored on the user-end no longer affect ranking.

The logic behind this is that a player may have an unusual bad patch or lucky streak, not indicative of their true skill, meaning that time to establish the trend is needed. No matter how much data mining someone claims to have done, they cannot know the details of the matchmaking system. This happens because the account has been intentionally deranked by a player losing repeated games on purpose. Given consistent hard work and competition with those above your level, your RD will widen again, allowing greater steps up.

The most probable cause for degradation comes from increases in Rating Deviation. The longer it has been since your last match, the less certain the game can be of your level, which means you could be matched against players of a wider skill range than you would normally. Your ranking range becomes less certain over time between games, increasing in RD. On the alpha leader thing, DON'T Be the guy who is telling your teamates they all suck and that your better than them.

I just dealt with one of those guys. Yeah I hate when someone on your team goes "Why the heck did you plant in that corner?! Best thing to do is to tell them why it may be a bad decision and then suggest to them to try something else such as "Don't plant there because Nope, the best decision is to stay quiet, people dont like being told their errors, and will take it personal. Most of the time when I've offered advice to players calmly they will nine times out of ten listen to it.

There are of course going to be people who don't want to take advice from anyone and will take it personally. Those are the people who I won't try to help after the first attempt. It usually works, however the last game I played I advised them that they should play a bit less aggressively at banana, because it left b site open. He responded by shouting and lowering me to 20 health. They see you as a player on their level unless ur stomping that game so they wont take advice unless they feel u are better than them or you are winning.

Well I guess I've just been lucky with the people I've been matches up with most of the time. Nah, we all end up getting the same guys, its probably just you selecting the correct people there are people out there, me included that will take advice because they are trying to actively improve their gameplay, but otherwise its not viable to do.

Yeah, that would pretty much be the opposite of what you're supposed to do. Those players are usually pretty awful themselves, I would recommend ignoring. I keep getting people that suck, a guy with 4h playing matchmaking competitive.

Annoying, valve shouldnt let people with below 25h play mm. As someone that was MG2 with wins I am now Nova 2-master with games. I personally feel like the difference between Nova master to DMG is that the DMG has better understanding of the map and starts, their aim is ussually similar. I messed around too much and lost my rank, and to be honest at this point I have lost any hope I will rank back up on this particular acc because I have won 8 games straight, lost 2 won 1 and did not rank up.

In 7 out of 10 games I was top 2 with 2 losses coming in last. I have Not ranked up in last 3 weeks. But not worrying about your rank also works. I mean lets be honest, semi pro and pro players are usually above global elite. I mean he's very good but when compared to cream of the crop hes a silver in the pro world.

And I like ub1que. I mean if u follow this guide OP posted, you will defo improve. I've been queueing with Nova friends lately so that I get matched against Novas, which I find helps with learning and improving much faster than playing against other Silvers. There have been a few assholes, but I didn't think there were noticeably more or less of them than in Silver. I get fairly stable 40 fps, it doesn't drop because of smoke or anything. Not much I can do to improve it on this machine; I'll definitely upgrade when I get the chance.

I or some friends invite someone and the lobby leader kicks him out because "low rank": My friend invited me to his lobby. He is a nova 2, I am silver 2.

The leader kicked me immediately. I was re invited 5 minutes later, and my friend vouched for me and let me play a round with him. His friend, the leader, said, if we loose it Is my fault because I am silver. At the end of the match, we lost and I went or something along those lines. I did better than the leader, We got back into the lobby, He said he was going to kick me because we lost, and the only reason we lost was because we had a silver.

He went like, I called him on being the worst one on the team and he just kicked me. I agree that you shouldn't dwell on rank but it does mean something.

It represents your skill level more correctly, how often you win. I just cannot agree with you. It better represents win streaks not win amount. Its too hard to rank up. Even if you are a decent player, if you are on a bad team, you will always be the only dude alive facing players by yourself. I'm currently a silver elite master whose trying to rank up and these tips are helping me improve everyday and allowing me to reach my goals in this game. Thanks a lot man. I was SEM for a long ass time.

Then I started following most of these tips some are new to me ty btw and hit gold nova 1 in like a week. EDIT I also really cut down on my peeking and it has helped a ton. One time a drunk asshole with fake calls sealed the deal and got me instantly demoted.

I try and get better, but it's only better inside of silver. I made it earlier this morning. On just going to try and keep the rank for awhile, not worry about moving up. I feel like I'm never going to get out of silver. Like I'm never going to rank up. Is there a light at the end of the tunnel? It helps if you have fun even while being bad. I have spent probably over hours ingame if that helps. Deathmatch, 1v1 arenas, and playing in pugs against people who are a lot better than me helped me the most.

Then you need to start practicing outside of mm. Try jumping into deathmatch for a while before mm. Beginning to want to blame my average 24 fps. Yeah, you need to work on that FPS. Lower your res and turn off all the fancy stuff, I have a brand new computer but I still play at x and all low settings. I play at x, everything at minimum except anti aliasing 2x. And so many fps increasing console commands.

And I delete the The only thing I'd add is how to deal with trolls. I personally struggled with this in the past and would get really upset with trolls and complete ass holes in my game. Surprisingly number 2 works incredibly good.

Almost every troll I've run into stops being a dick and we go on to win the match. It's kind of amazing how people react to a completely calm person telling them they are being a child. Instead of trolling them or getting mad, try 2.

Okay had to add that this alone wasn't the only thing that got me to LEM. Dedication, persistence, and frequently analyzing my game and things I do wrong is a huge factor. Lol then you'd be terrible against me. I never stop trolling, griefing, talking shit. Only time is if I'm really tired physcially. Using these tactics helps in rl, by these guys rage, making them angrier, more surprised, etc. Causing them to lose hits and rounds. Works a lot of the time. Which clearly, as explained in step number 1 in my post, you would have zero effect on me.

Opponents talking shit doesn't effect me at all and never has. Best of luck in your MM advancement, and life too for that matter lol. I really hate it when people say "all B" and I get killed by a headshot to the back of my head: No it's worse when it's the enemy.

Because that usually means you're dead and the caller is blind. It's a spot that people don't expect you to be in, usually resulting in them running past you and getting shot in the back. Since december i played on a hz screen and holy shit i didn't rank up DMG since 8month , didn't rank up once. That screen is just way too good to play! Now i'm back on my 60hz screen and im sad because i miss flickshots more often than with the hz Be the guy that tells them that they don't suck but your still da best and you are in FaZe clan.

THEN you can tell them they suck after you rushed mid with a Glock. That can be held off unless you really have the money. It's definitely a difference, but I don't recommend people go out and buy one right away unless they're really serious or have the money to spare.

Here is a video showing both the cursor and CS. Waved my cursor around my desktop for 30 minutes. The 60hz becomes so blurry as soon as there is lots of movements spraying, checking corners, etc that I struggle to focus on player models. My problem is I never have people to play with that are consistant.. They always do really good one game and the next really bad..

Im acutally quite consistant. I kinda like those mousepads that take up a lot of space, like a full desk one kinda? Have a look at this. Steelseries makes some nice large mats and I like the affordable and solid Razer DeathAdder for a mouse. Zowie FK One is a simple plug and play mouse that's not too expensive, has really solid construction, with a world class sensor, fantastic feeling buttons, is ambidextrous and suits a large number of players hands.

Also take a look at the Steelseries Rival if you think that shape would work better for your hand, same sensor and I've heard good build quality. I'm not a fan of the full desk ones as I don't think they offer the same quality, but the Razer Goliathus Extended is what you're looking for. The Zowie Spawn pads are also great. What resolution would you recommend? It's pretty hard to see enemies for me more often than not. There is no "recommended resolution".

It's just a bad habit picked up from pro players. They're used to 4: Use your native resolution. I used x some time, but using my native x makes everything crispier. Using native is not always best, I used x for hours and then I switched to x and I suddenly became better, it just feels better and it's easier to hit heads imo. It's a bit blurry though. Still haven't been ranked up. How long did it take you to get out of silver 2?

I've been in silver 1 for 4 months now. I've obviously gotten better because I went from 10 kills and 25 deaths to like 40 kills and 20 deaths.

Funny thing about the new ranking system is that i had a 10 game winstreak as LEM. It does feel like I come up against more smurfs though since most seem to have always deranked to mid to low Nova.
